Dr Andrew Hill trained at Prince Henry & Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney with a specific interest in percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTCA) procedures.
He has a keen interest in electrophysiology studies (EPS) and is a competent physician in the insertion of pacemakers. He regularly performs pericardiocentesis and right side heart catheterisation, and is an expert in trans-oesophageal echocardiogram (TOE), holding a diploma in diagnostic ultrasound.
Dr Hill holds a conjoint position at the Faculty of Medicine with the Newcastle University, and is the Director of the Gosford Heart Centre's Coronary Care Unit.
Dr Hill was the principle investigator for the GUSTO 4, Valiant, HERO2, TEMAMI clinical trials.
