This was followed by two years on the official Australia and New Zealand Training Board program for Colon and Rectal Surgery (ANZTBCRS). These years were spent in prestigious colorectal units in Sydney and Melbourne. Entry into this program is highly competitive. The program is the sole recognised training program for colorectal surgery in Australasia. Its reputation is highly regarded internationally. Completion of the program allows one entry into membership of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).
