​Exclusive Mid-Year Graduate Opportunity for New Nurses on Central Coast

For the first time in July, Healthe Care Central Coast will be offering nursing graduates the chance to join the mid-year intake of its popular graduate program.

Open to graduates with a diploma or bachelor of nursing, the twelve-month Healthe Care Central Coast Graduate Program provides access to the largest private perioperative environment on the Central Coast with opportunities to learn and work alongside skilled clinicians at Brisbane Waters, Gosford and Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospitals.

According to graduate program participant Brianna Davis, 21, of Woongarrah, the program has provided the ideal start to a strong and successful nursing career, connecting her with experience to build her confidence and clinical skills.

“Everyone is so supportive and I can't put a price on what they've taught me so far. I’ve learned so much in five months, and had the chance to work with a diverse range of patients and families,” Brianna said.

“The support you receive in the program is everything you need as a new nurse.”

Brianna who joined the graduate program five months ago is currently working across the surgical ward at Gosford Private Hospital and said that the support she has received in the Healthe Care Central Coast Graduate Program has been far more intensive compared to previous placements.

“I’ve gained the skills to handle complex situations and communicate with a diverse range of patients and families. I’ve definitely found I’ve been able to access more practical on the job training,” she said.

Brianna hopes to work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) someday, as she prefers to work closely with individual patients and their loved ones.

“I think working in ICU will be challenging and give me an opportunity to work one-on-one with patients and their families,” she said,

“As a new nurse, I recommend saying yes to as many opportunities as possible. This program has been a great training ground for me.”

With limited spots available, the Healthe Care Central Coast Graduate Program provides graduates with access to practical, on-the-job training alongside skilled multi-disciplinary clinicians across three complex hospitals.

Applications will remain open until July 22.
