Dr Steve Marchalleck is an Orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in hand, wrist and upper limb surgery.
After graduating from the University of New South Wales with honours, he completed his training with the Australian Orthopaedic Association, on behalf of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, in the South Sydney network. His training allowed him to work in urban and regional centres, and exposed him to a wide range of acute and chronic orthopaedic conditions.
While Dr Marchalleck manages all orthopaedic problems, he underwent subspecialist training in hand and wrist surgery as a Fellow with the prestigious Sydney Hand Unit based at Sydney Hospital. He was then invited to serve as a Fellow with the cutting edge Brisbane Hand & Upper Limb Research Institute. He gained skills in arthroscopy, arthroplasty, tendon transfers, and microvascular surgery, as well as the management of complex trauma.
Dr Marchalleck is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association, a member of the Australian Medical Association, and regularly attends national and international scientific meetings to ensure he keeps up to date with new techniques and current trends in Orthopaedics.
He has joined the team at Coastal Orthopaedics & Sports Injuries (COSI) based on the premises of Gosford Private Hospital, North Gosford. He is proud to complete the team as a practice that can offer a comprehensive Orthopaedic service accessible for both chronic and acute conditions, and offering phone support for the local general and allied health practitioners on the Central Coast.
