Dr Simon Hutabarat is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and also the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr Hutabarat completed his medical degree at the University of NSW and his Orthopaedic training in Sydney. He has spent a year on Fellowship in Hands and Arthroplasty (Upper and Lower limb) in Great Britain and the United States.

Dr Hutabarat has worked locally as a VMO Orthopaedic Surgeon in Gosford District Hospital for many years and is now in private practice, with consulting rooms at Brisbane Waters Private Hospital. Simon performs surgery regularly at Brisbane Waters Private Hospital, Gosford Private Hospital and Tuggerah Lakes Private Hospital. He also has a vast number of publications in textbooks and journals.

Dr Hutabarat became interested in computer navigated knee replacements over 10 years ago and has used the computer navigation system exclusively over the past 6 years. He has been an instructor at Computer Navigated Knee Replacement Courses in Perth and in Sydney. He has also spent time in Germany and France perfecting the technique.
