Dr Jenson Mak is a Consultant Physician, Rehabilitation Specialist and Geriatrician at Gosford Private Hospital. He has extensive experience working in internal medicine, geriatrics and orthogeriatrics in many public hospitals, including Ryde and Gosford District Hospitals, as well as private inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings including Mater, Dalcross and Mt Wilga Hospitals.
Dr Mak has been working at Gosford Private Hospital for almost 10 years as a general physician and rehabilitation physician in his present role. He is empathic, approachable and personable, and treats all his patients with a holistic biopsychosocial approach.
Dr Mak is also the Principle Scientific Investigator for his PhD project ‘REVITAHIP’. At age 40 he has discovered running marathons for ‘healthy ageing’, is a qualified ‘Primal Health Coach’ and has written for a number of scientific journals both in Australia and abroad.
Dr Mak is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians; a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine; a Member of the Australian Medical Association; and the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle.
